Artist’s Statement: | “Vanity is truly the motive-power that moves humanity, and its flattery that greases the wheels”, Jerome K. Jerome. A self fulfilling narcissism that inflates pride in one self, as well as in one’s appearance. This trait increasingly plays a distorted role in today’s society fed by mass digital media manifesting itself in people’s arrogance. Society is mesmerised by social status and approval, not knowing who they are without this delusion of perception of happiness.
